Aidan eventually joined a new Real Estate company in the area, RE/MAX becoming one of the first agents in the county to join. Over the next twenty years Aidan continued day to day to work and build a strong base of satisfied clients in Anne Arundel and Prince Georges County, helping over 600 families to buy or sell a home in the area. Catherine has also built her business, Lissadell Property Management over this time, which today manages over 80 residential homes in the area.
Catherine and Aidan’s daughter Cathy earned her Real Estate license while still in high school and worked as Aidan’s assistant part time during the year and over Summer Breaks and vacations. After earning a Master’s Degree in Sociology from Rutgers University in 1995 Cathy joined Aidan full time in Real Estate.
Shortly after, in 1996 Catherine and Aidan’s son Aidan Jr. graduated from Saint Mary’s College of Maryland with a degree in Philosophy. At the invitation of Aidan Sr. he then also joined the Surlis family partnership and they began to work under the name ‘Team Surlis’.
Just two years later, after returning from a 10 month around the world backpacking tour, their youngest daughter, Tara joined the family business working first as an administrative assistant, then earning her real estate license, followed by her Associate Brokers license.
Chris Gress, Cathy Surlis Gress’ husband, joined the team after working for over ten years as a teacher and in administration in the Baltimore City School system. Chris joined the team after completing his second Master’s Degree, and since has earned his GRI designation and his Associate Broker licensing.
